As I age, I understand less of what is going on. More and more of my sentences begin, “I just don’t understand why ….”

Famous musical artists and actors are often unknown to me. In ads for shows and concerts. I sometimes don't recognize any of the names at all, yet I'm assured by others that they are indeed legendary and important.

It's clear from their attire, homes, cars, and jewelry that they are also rich, although it befuddles me why since I have no idea what they even do.

That lack of understanding is accelerated by computers, social media, and a tsunami of TV, audio and payment options. I can make computers pretty much do what I want, but thank goodness my needs are limited.

I have never understood why anyone would invest in crypto or NFTs, but so far I haven't needed to.

I’ve realized that most of what I don’t understand really doesn’t matter to me since it has no bearing on my life. That is a relief and the lifting of a great burden.

I’m actually navigating pretty well considering I don’t understand almost anything.
