Making Up
If you never wore makeup before, aging may make you and other old dogs try new tricks.
Once again, the sun can be the culprit for skin damage, making your skin blotchy. If you haven’t been following a faithful facial routine, you might now wish you had been.
With now being now, however, you may have to resort to just covering up the evidence. So much for my youthful glow—I now have a relationship with the consultants at several Sephoras.
And then there are those bags under your eyes. Despite their
possibly suggesting that you are not far from the grave, they are simply mild swelling or puffiness. As we age, the tissue around our eyes weakens and allows the fat that helps support our eyes to move into the lower eyelids. That tissue includes some of the muscles that support our eyelids. Fluid might also accumulate.
Apparently, some people resort to hemorrhoid cream to address eye bags, and perhaps they find it handy at the other end, too, as prescribed. Cool compresses can help, and the desperate and brave might opt for eye surgery, but skillful application of makeup can also hide a multitude of sins—and years.
